The Problem

Before they partnered with Searchbloom, they had worked with two other agencies for their ads account, but their account had experienced several issues. And the lack of adequate return on ad spend (ROAS), the company did not feel confident in spending their full monthly budgets. Thus, spend was lower than what they were used to.
Once Searchbloom’s team analyzed the campaign, we determined that the most significant factor contributing to the low ROAS was lack of individual product bidding. Since their product offering is so large, other agencies cut corners by not segmenting product IDs and setting one bid for every product. This made it impossible to know which products had a positive ROAS and what bid adjustments were needed to help improve ROAS.

Another contributing factor to the low ROAS was a lack of custom search ad copy. Without proper ad implementation, ShirtSpace’s ad copy looked unprofessional and hurt their click-through rate.
Other factors that were affecting their Google Ads account were their incorrect remarketing audiences, poor lists setup, and sub-par delivery settings that were allowing Google automation without providing correct ROAS data.

The Solution

Prior to partnering with Searchbloom, the strategy had been to optimize for large volume head terms that did not drive transactions. Our team refocused the strategy of the site using our proven method R.A.C.E (Research, Assets, Control, Experimentation) to target keyword themes and highly profitable products that would lead to transactions and get those ads on the first page.
