AI Visibility Checker

See whether ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Gemini name your brand when buyers ask, describe it correctly, and cite your site. Free, no sign-up.

Each question is asked live on ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Gemini, and the answers are read from the products themselves. Normally done inside 90 seconds; answers appear as they arrive. Three brand checks per day per visitor, because every run costs us real money. To test whether AI crawlers can reach your site, use the free Agent Readiness Checker.

Does AI mention your brand? This tool asks.

Buyers now ask ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Gemini which company to hire. This checker asks them the same questions, live, and shows every answer exactly as each product gave it. It reports three things: whether the platforms name your brand for a question in your category, whether they recognize it and describe it correctly when asked by name, and whether they cite your site as a source.

Being named depends on being reachable first. If the AI crawlers cannot get into your site, start with the Agent Readiness Checker, which tests 32 AI crawlers and 23 agent standards in about 15 seconds.

How to use the AI Visibility Checker

  1. Enter your brand, website and what you sell. Add a market if you serve one area. Separate services with commas and each gets its own question.
  2. Check the five questions. The tool writes buyer questions for your category plus two that name your brand. Edit any of them so they match how your buyers actually ask.
  3. Read every answer. Each question goes to all three platforms. The grid shows where you were named, recognized and cited; click any cell to read the full answer, the sources it cited and the brands it named instead.

How the score works

The score runs from 0 to 100: 60 percent for being named in the category answers, 25 percent for your site being cited as a source, and 15 percent for being recognized when a platform is asked about you by name. Every answer stays on screen, so you can judge the score against what the platforms actually said.

One run is a snapshot, not a ranking. AI answers change between runs and between people, so treat the result as a sample of what a buyer sees today, and rerun after you change something. The score doesn't explain why a platform skipped you; the cited-domains list is where to start looking.

Reachable is step one. Being recommended is step two.

The cited-domains list shows where the platforms get their shortlist for your questions. Those are the places to be present, accurate and corroborated. Moving the numbers is the work of answer engine optimization and generative engine optimization: a clear entity (look yours up in the Knowledge Graph Explorer), complete structured data, an AI-information page, consistent facts across the web, and third-party corroboration.

Questions and Answers

What does the AI Visibility Checker test?

Whether ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Gemini mention your brand. You give the brand, website and what you sell; the tool asks five buyer questions on all three platforms and reports, for every answer, whether the brand was named or recognized and whether your site was cited.

How does the brand mention check work?

The tool writes five buyer questions from what you sell (you can edit them) and asks each one live on the three platforms. A category question is scored on whether the brand was named; a question that names the brand, on whether the platform actually knows it. Every answer also shows whether your domain was among the cited sources, plus the domains and brands that appeared instead.

What is the difference between being named and being cited?

Named means the brand appears in the answer text. Cited means the platform linked to your site as one of its sources. A brand can be named without a citation, and a site can be cited for a fact without the brand being recommended. The score counts both.

Why do AI answers change between runs?

The platforms generate each answer fresh and search the web live for many questions, so wording, sources and the brands named shift from run to run. A single run is a snapshot. Rerun the same questions after a change to see whether the pattern moved.

How is this different from the Agent Readiness Checker?

The Agent Readiness Checker tests whether AI crawlers and agents can reach and read your site: 32 crawlers and 23 agent standards. This tool tests what the AI platforms say once they can. Run the readiness check first; a site the crawlers cannot reach rarely gets named.

Is the checker free and do I need to sign up?

Free, no sign-up, results are never gated. The brand check is limited to three runs per day per visitor because each run costs us real money. Every result has a share link that works for 30 days.
